INTRONAUT: Interview, Performance Footage Available

September 22, 2008

Metal Injection recently conducted an interview with Los Angeles progressive titans INTRONAUT. Watch the 10-minute chat below. Also available are three exclusive live clips of the band performing at the Knitting Factory in New York City shot on August 8, 2008.

INTRONAUT's new album, "Prehistoricisms", was released on September 16. The CD was engineered by Josh Newell (JANE'S ADDICTION) and "will captivate the metal world with its blend of psychedelic brutality, captivating hooks and unpredictable time changes," according to a press release. An abstract, eye-popping new video for the track "Australopithecus" was directed by Sera Timms (ISIS, PELICAN). Sacha Dunable (vocals, guitar) commented, "We were kind of concerned that a video would come across as cheesy or forced, but Sera made a really elaborate storyline to go along with the very vague lyrical content (quite a feat) and just made this amazing video that we can totally be proud of. We can't wait for [everyone] to see it."
